Waste Water Treatment

Seaport will only accept non-hazardous waste liquids that are generated in various processes including drilling, remediation, pump test excavation, sumps, petroleum spills, etc.

Waste water is treated by a combination of processes that include dissolved air floatation (DAF), sedimentation, polymer addition, pH adjustment activated carbon and activated sludge.

Seaport has a permit to discharge up to 75,000 usg /day to the local POTW, the South Bayside System Authority.

Solids are centrifuged and disposed of offsite.
